Dr. Xiaofeng Rao received a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering from Xinjiang University in 2007, received a master's degree in chemical engineering from Xinjiang University in 2010, and received a PhD in applied chemistry from Dalian University of Technology in 2014.

From 2015 to 2017, he was a postdoctoral fellow in synthetic chemistry at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences; From 2017 to 2019, he was a postdoctoral fellow in synthetic chemistry at the University of Tokyo, Japan; From 2019 to 2022, he served as an associate investigator at Southern University of Science and Technology.

Now he is an associate investigator at Shenzhen Bay Laboratory.
