Dr. Jian Zhan received a bachelor's degree and a doctorate degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2004 and 2010. In 2005, he was a visiting research assistant at the Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; from 2010 to 2013, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Indiana University and Purdue University, Indianapolis; from 2013 to 2021, he was in Glycomics at Griffith University, Australia. The institute serves as a investigator; now he is a investigator at the Shenzhen Bay Laboratory.
