Dr. Kai Zhou received his bachelor's degree from Hebei University in 2002, his master's degree from Hebei Normal University in 2005, and his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. From 2003 to 2007, he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Biological Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, from 2011 to 2013. Worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Peking Union Medical College/Institute of Pathogen Biology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, from 2013 to 2020 as an assistant investigator at the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and from 2018 to 2020 as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Glycomics, Griffith University, Australia. 

Now he is an assistant investigator at the Institute of Systems and Physical Biology of Shenzhen Bay Laboratory.
